Why Should a CSR join PAC?
You may not know what the letters PAC mean. It's actually simple: Political Action Committee. Now, don't stop reading just because you see the word political! FAIA's PACs protect YOU! Our influence on laws that affect the insurance business depends entirely upon cultivating a strong presence in the halls of Florida's Capitol and in Washington. Talented, experienced lobbyists do their part on your behalf. Still, senators and representatives who shape our laws listen most closely to the voices of those who put them in office--their constituents, the citizens of Florida. That includes you, and the 10,000 plus independent agents who work for agency members of FAIA. The impression we can make is a more powerful one when you join with fellow agents and speak with a unified voice. You accomplish that by joining the PACs through FAIA. We don't need a lot of money from any one of you. We just need each of you to donate $10 - $25 dollars a year, which adds up and allows us to protect your industry. IMPACT, FAIAPAC, and InsurPac allows your presence to be felt as your elected officials make decisions that could affect you in many ways. In recent years, FAIA PACs have fought to protect: Your commissions (your paycheck!)
