FSU Scholarships

For many years FAIA has been a partner to the FSU Collage of Business Risk Management and Insurance program. We present two scholarships to FSU students each year. Every February we solicit candidates for the Tom C. Johnson and William "Buddy" T. McCue Scholarships from FSU professors. If there is an outstanding student who meets the criteria, an FAIA senior manager attends the annual scholarship meeting of the FSU Insurance and Risk Management Society and presents the check and a plaque.

The Tom Johnson Scholarship was started in 1990. Buddy's scholarship began in 1997.

The selection criteria for both awards should include, but not be limited to, the following:

• Academic performance
• Career interested in the property & casualty industry
• Financial need
• Extracurricular activities
• Upper-class status (returning senior).
