Associate Membership
Associate membership is available to insurance companies, vendors of insurance-related products, out-of-state wholesalers, or those who are not otherwise eligible for agency membership. Associate membership does not include membership in the IIABA. There are five categories:
- Insurer associate: Any property and casualty (P&C) insurance company or similar risk-bearing entity seeking affiliation with independent agents. Dues: $2,000
- Life, health and benefits associate: Florida independent agencies or companies that do no P&C business but would like to affiliate with those that do. Dues: $750
- Insurance wholesalers: Entities that derive a majority of their revenues from non-retail insurance sales and none from Florida retail insurance sales. Examples are E&S agencies, managing general agents, reinsurance intermediaries, and the like. Dues: $750
- Associate member agents: Insurance agencies not eligible for membership under Article III of the FAIA Constitution other than exclusive direct writing agencies. Dues: $750
- Industry associate: Entities having affinity relationships with the insurance industry or with insurance agents—i.e., premium finance companies, automation vendors, adjusting firms, law firms, industry consultants, publishers, and third party administrators. Dues: $750
There is a $150 charge for each additional associate member office location.

Entities not falling into one of the above categories are either not eligible to join FAIA, or must join as full, voting members under Article III, Section I of the FAIA Constitution.
Why Become an Associate Member?
FAIA’s membership comprises more than 2,000 member agencies, representing nearly 20,000 insurance professionals. Associate members are integral to FAIA's success and to its lobbying efforts. FAIA's two political action committees raise more money than any other Florida insurance trade group, money that is used to strengthen the entire industry. With associate membership comes:
