StormPeace Hurricane Coverage

FMS has teamed up with Assured Risk Cover to offer FAIA members access to StormPeace, hurricane insurance that pays out-of-pocket expenses for losses not typically covered by homeowners insurance, including:

  • tree and debris removal;
  • repair or replacement of landscaping, swimming pool, boat dock, or detached property;
  • power restoration;
  • evacuation expenses;
  • losses below the deductible; and more

Small Business Coverage

Just like its residential policy, StormPeace commercial insurance promptly pays the policyholder an amount calculated on two factors: 1) the strength of a named hurricane, and 2) the storm’s distance from the insured’s address. Payments are made within 24 to 72 hours and can be applied to virtually any hurricane-related expense, including:

  • Replacement of lost income, with or without property damage
  • Power restoration
  • Data recovery and records restoration
  • Transportation costs – e.g. fuel and maintenance
  • Paying employees and contractors

What is Parametric Insurance?

Parametric insurance is a type of insurance that does not indemnify the pure loss, but agrees to make a payment upon the occurrence of a triggering event, in this case a hurricane.

StormPeace automatically pays eligible policyholders based on the strength of the hurricane and the distance of the property from the storm's path—even if the storm doesn't make landfall.
